Juanjo Puigcorbé , the Catalan actor who said goodbye to show business in 2015 to enter politics, has returned to the media spotlight, this time, with the help of ‘Espejo Público’. The conversation with  Susanna Griso  this Monday has led to her past within the acronym of Esquerra Republicana de Catalunya (ERC) and the “mafioso” way that, according to the complaint, they had since the formation to “get it off their backs.”

Although Puigcorbé was one of the leading voices of the Catalan independence movement when he joined politics that year – becoming a councilor in the Barcelona City Council of Ada Colau and, later, deputy delegate of culture in the Barcelona provincial council -, He ended up completely separating himself from the formation to take the opposite path, that is, he became one of the harshest critics.  “Thank you ERC for your stabs. I hope that no one ever votes for you ,” he expressed then, as recalled in the video broadcast by the Antena 3 program as a reminder.

“I did everything I could with the resources they gave me, but  overnight a false report came out , accusing me of mistreating my subordinates, which is absolutely false. The party presented me with three sheets of paper and told me that if I did not resign, the report would be leaked to the press. It was a lie, false, but they made me resign, and I resigned,” the actor explained this Monday. After this decision, he dedicated himself to searching for the origin of the case that was directed at him personally, thus discovering that  “93.7% of the people who worked with him were very happy ,” according to a source revealed to him. From ERC, the actor has assured, they removed the survey, “something illegal and that was the main part, and they turned it into a preliminary report and included three anonymous people who, of course, were from the party” to orchestrate the smear campaign against his post.

“They did not give me the opportunity to deny it, and when I did so from the Provincial Council in the plenary sessions, it did not appear on the television there or in the newspapers.  They never let me respond . But even that false provisional report never said that I mistreated anyone, it is not written, but they transformed it into that headline to bring me down,” she continued.

Puigcorbé denounces “mafia” and “treason” in the political world

From then until today, Puigcorbé has taken stock of what happened, thus dropping, before Griso, the phrase that has left her stupefied: “I know things and it had to be done so that I did not have the media power to say it, which is what they have done.” done for seven years.  The easiest way to not let me speak is to not give me work , not to have the opportunity to go out anywhere,” she continued to denounce. Now, with a clearer future in the professional field, and away from his past within political acronyms, the actor has emphasized that this episode in his life helped him redirect his career towards culture, “but  politics is a torment, a world of knife blows, insults and constant war ”; a world in which he has suffered the action of a “black hand” that declined in his resignation.

“ This betrayal has names and surnames , and everyone was rewarded and promoted. The operation was serious, it was not just anything. I don’t feel like a useful idiot, but I do have bad luck. I hope I can tell it all one day,” he concluded in his interview with Susanna Griso, but not before clarifying again that, to prove its truth, he has in his possession “all the documents” that demonstrate the falsity of the report in question and the wave of accusations during his political positions, announcing that, if the occasion arises, he will not miss the opportunity to tell the story to the media that asks him to do so.
